编译mysql4.1.7出错紧急求助(跪求)

我在suse linux和redhat 9上都编译过mysql4.1.7但都出错并且一样还,现在我拿来请高人赐教我没写命令换行符,应该是什么我不清楚):
[root@localhost root]# cd /home/user/mysql-standard-4.1.7-pc-linux-i686
[root@localhost mysql-standard-4.1.7-pc-linux-i686]# ls

[root@localhost mysql-standard-4.1.7-pc-linux-i686]# ./configure --prefix=/usr/loal/mysql --sysconfdir=/etc/ --localstatedir=/var/lib/mysql
NOTE: This is a MySQL binary distribution. It's ready to run, you don't
need to configure it!

To help you a bit, I am now going to create the needed MySQL databases
and start the MySQL server for you.  If you run into any trouble, please
consult the MySQL manual, that you can find in the Docs directory.

To start mysqld at boot time you have to copy support-files/mysql.server
to the right place for your system

PLEASE REMEMBER TO SET A PASSWORD FOR THE MySQL root USER !
To do so, start the server, then issue the following commands:
./bin/mysqladmin -u root password 'new-password'
./bin/mysqladmin -u root -h localhost.localdomain password 'new-password'

You can start the MySQL daemon with:
cd . ; ./bin/mysqld_safe &

You can test the MySQL daemon with the benchmarks in the 'sql-bench' directory:
cd sql-bench ; perl run-all-tests

Starting the mysqld server.  You can test that it is up and running
with the command:
./bin/mysqladmin version

你下载的不是源代码，不用编译的，
“NOTE: This is a MySQL binary distribution. It's ready to run, you don't
need to configure it!”这句话的意思好像是说“这是mysql的二进制包，已经可以直接运行了，你不用配置它”
