汉化真有点麻烦

目的：我并不是想把整个系统弄得像Windows那样，只是需要中文输入正常，该是中文的时候能正常显示我就满足了。界面可以完全是英文。

问题：Firefox如果使用Simsun字体，中文就会变成一个个小方格，如果是默认的Sans倒还没事，只是如果中英文都有的时候英文会上下对不齐。只能在firefox里输入中文，并且用nautilus无法看到fat分区上中文文件名，但是在firefox里是可以的，说明加载参数没错。

使用的汉化方法：首先我将M$的Simsun字体一堆的考到/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/chinese下，然后执行mkfontscale和mkfontdir，接着在/etc/X11/xorg.conf中加入这个FontPath，使用freetype和type1引擎，然后在/etc/fonts/local.conf也加上这个路径，最后执行fc-cache。这个方法是在BLFS书里面写这的，以前使用Gentoo我也一直用这个方法汉化，觉得简单快捷。可是这次到了这里就出问题，请问各位是怎么回事？

首先感谢版主相助，按你说的做了以后字体显示漂亮很多了，中英文混合时也不会有什么问题。只是现在Firefox中文显得有些模糊，而且nautilus依然无法显示中文文件名，除了firefox还是无法输入中文。

楼主假若是用scim输入法（fctix也差不多）
/etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d／ 里头新建个zh_CN文件
内容如下：

如果你的 locale 是 GBK ， 那么似乎还要加个环境变量 ， 搜索一下吧
UTF-8 的  locale 下则请  mount 的时候 用  -o iocharset=utf8,umask=0

现在用着还不错
懒得再弄了
为了效果只能剪去一些了
可是一直不明白为什么搞定console8x16的字体
在terminal里还是喜欢那字体

我按照gradetwo的做法添加了，不过是添加在~/.xsession里面，然后用startx来启动X，可是没什么用，问题依旧。

版主，我用了你的包，字体清晰了，可是中文却变得很丑，不知为何。

顺便说一下，我使用scim，目前LC_CTYPE=zh_CN.GB2312，其余的全为en_US.UTF-8（也就是默认的）。

我的界面也存在一些小问题就是Firefox网页里的字体比较，即使我选了AR PL NewSung也不改变还是原来的字体，如图

用了你的字体配置文件字显示锐利了，但是点的位置不连贯，所以比以前更加难以辨识
