I can't use scim in firefox-like gtk programs, why?

here is my configuration about scim:

export LC_ALL="en_US.utf8"
export XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM"
export XIM_PROGRAM=SCIM
export XIM=SCIM
export GTK_IM_MODUL=scim

has any probloms? pls give me a tip, thx!

I think you should not you LC_ALL=en_US.UTF-8,it makes  LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8,so maybe you can not use scim in en_US.UTF-8 env!
you shoud set LC_CTYPE=zh_CN.UTF-8 and set LANG or other locale figures en_US.UTF-8
