求助 ATi显卡驱动安装问题

本人菜鸟一个，刚刚装了FC5 。到ATi的网站上下了驱动，按上面的说明敲了命令，结果出来这么些东西：
Detected configuration:
Architecture: i686 (32-bit)
X Server: Xorg 7.0.0

Detected version of X does not have a matching 'x700' directory
You may override the detected version using the following syntax:
   X_VERSION=<xdir> ./ati-driver-installer-<ver>-<arch>.run [--install]

The following values may be used for <xdir>:
x410       XFree86 4.1.x
x420       XFree86 4.2.x
x430       XFree86 4.3.x
x680       X.Org 6.8.x
x690       X.Org 6.9.x
Removing temporary directory: fglrx-install

不是告诉你了吗，你的Xorg是7.0，ATI驱动不支持，你可以用这个命令来装：
X_VERSION=x690 ./ati-driver-installer-<ver>-<arch>.run [--install]

我也是同样的问题，为什么我这样把驱动装好了以后进入X要很长时间呢

<ver>-<arch>是相应的驱动版本号？
后面的［－Install］是什么啊？

我这条命令打了，出现了下面的语句，算是装好了还是没装好？

  ./ati-driver-installer-8.24.8-x86.run -h|--help                   Print this message
  ./ati-driver-installer-8.24.8-x86.run -i|--info                   Print embedded info : title, default target directory, embedded script
  ./ati-driver-installer-8.24.8-x86.run -l|--list                   Print the list of files in the archive
  ./ati-driver-installer-8.24.8-x86.run -c|--check                   Checks integrity of the archive
  ./ati-driver-installer-8.24.8-x86.run --extract NewDirectory       Extract this package to NewDirectory only

2) Running ./ati-driver-installer-8.24.8-x86.run :
  ./ati-driver-installer-8.24.8-x86.run [options] [additional arguments to embedded script] with following options (in that order)
  --keep                         Do not erase target directory after running the embedded script
  Following arguments will be passed to the embedded script:
  --install                      Install the driver(default)
  --get-supported                List all the supported packages for package generation
  --buildpkg package             Build "package" if supported ("package" as returned by --get-supported)

还有按Ati的说明，装完以后的Aticonfig 打什么指令啊？Ati网上教的貌似没用啊……

我试过了，安装是成功了，但是第一，ATICONFIG无效..第二，重启进入系统后，速度很慢，而且窗口管理器报告无法找到...
