Kanotix 是 Knoppix 的前卫版，除了软件较新及较先进外，跟 Knoppix 明显不同的理念是 Kanotix 是为硬盘安装优化过的，Knoppix 虽然也能安装，但 Knoppix 开发队伍一直坚持 Knoppix 是 LiveCD 并不应用於安装。

不要误会，我不是在这里介绍 Debian-like distro，刚刚 Kanotix 推出了 Easter-RC2 版，先前我的硬盘已装了 Kanotix-2006-CeBIT-RC3 版，用 Kanotix 的 installer 便可以进行无痛升级，并能保留用户设置及选择要保留的东西

Kanotix 的 installer 是用 bash script 写的，非常值得借镜。;)

If I indeed want a installer for a system, which language do u suggest me to use?
C#, Python, Perl, Bash, or someone else?

Can this installer upgrade your existing system?

More precisely, if you have previous installed system, will this installer preserve your previous user accounts, home directories etc?

For this system is just used for myself, I insist that the installer should deal with binary file.
So, to d00m3d: This installer just do the work like:install pkg, create user....
