[need help] emerge problem!! [solved]

1. I use "#emerge -u --deep system" to update system, but failed, it show something as below:

Calculating system dependencies... done!
>>> Emerging (1 of 59) sys-devel/patch-2.5.9-r1 to /
waiting for lock on /usr/portage/distfiles/.locks/patch-2.5.9.tar.gz.portage_lockfile

I don't know why it was locked.How can I unlock it so that I can go on my update?

2. Another problem is that there is a file block the other .How can I fix it?
[blocks B     ] sys-apps/pam-login (is blocking sys-apps/shadow-4.0.15)
[blocks B     ] >=sys-apps/shadow-4.0.14-r2 (is blocking sys-apps/pam-login-4.0.14)

emerge -C sys-apps/pam-login

I manage to unmerge  sys-apps/pam-login. The second problem is fixed. How about the first one ?
I still have no idea.

1st problem
# rm /usr/portage/distfiles/.locks/patch-2.5.9.tar.gz.portage_lockfile
# emerge -u --deep system

Maybe U broke your update when it's downloading 'patch-2.5.9.tar.gz'

I'd like to compile a software that is out of Portages or Ebuilds. How can I make it contract with Portage Tree so that I can easy to manange it.
