absolutely agree with uper's opinion!
For server, FreeBSD should be the 1st choice at this moment. (Stability)
Though Arch works fine, it shouldn't be ranked as 1st choice, as:
--- it's bleeding age comparing to FreeBSD or Debian's "stable-branch"
--- it's optimized for i686. thus increasing the possibilities of "unstable"
--- it's not arch's fault but the (LINUX) kernel. i am not trying to rise a awkward fight between linux-fans and bsd-fans. JUST PERSONAL OPINION!
By the way, even WindowsServer should be stable enough if u r the guru! The server's stablility is vary depending on the admin! |
