Emacs 的两个问题

一直想转投Emacs， 可有两个问题没有解决，所以还留恋 Vim：
1) 在 Linux console （无FrameBuffer）下， Vim 可以将光标设为不闪烁的方块状，而
在 Emacs 里我一直没有设置成功，小方块忽闪忽闪的，很烦人。
2) 在 Windows 里 gvim 可以使用 Fixedsys 字体， 而Emacs一使用Fixedsys 就乱码。
唉，courier new 也挺好看的，可Fixedsys 看顺眼了，自己也没办法。

不知道有没有朋友解决过这些问题？

You can customize the cursor's color, and whether it blinks, using the
`cursor' Custom group (*note Easy Customization:.  On a graphical
display, the command `M-x blink-cursor-mode' enables or disables the
blinking of the cursor.  [color="Red"](On text terminals, the terminal itself blinks
the cursor, and Emacs has no control over it.)  You can control how the
cursor appears when it blinks off by setting the variable
`blink-cursor-alist'.

Emacs 使用自己的字体显示机制，在 Linux 下面，Emacs还是使用 X 核心字体（现在已经有不太成熟的xft开发分支），而gvim好像是使用gtk2来显示的，在 windows 上就不清楚了。

呵呵Emacs只是纪念人罢了！可能目前自己还原始！应留在vi阶段！

这句话不是很理解。“纪念人”是什么意思？

这句话让人哭笑不得。我在kernel里已经把cursor的状态设置好了，进入Vim, mutt ... 程序都没有问题， 唯独进入emacs的时候它给我改成闪烁的。 我就不理解了，既然no control over it, 就不要去动它， 动了却又控制不了， 算怎么回事？ 搞不懂这些开发者是怎么想的。

pluskid 别介意，不是针对你。 我最近被Emacs搞得很郁闷，所以来发发神经。

请问你是怎么在内核里面禁止光标闪动的？我平时不在纯终端下用Emacs，刚才试了一下，我先

2. setterm -cursor off

关掉光标，然后进入 emacs ,果然，光标猛闪。
不过，同样的，我用 setterm -cursor off 关掉光标之后，进入 vi 和 mutt ，光标仍然是在闪动的，而且退出之后光标也启动了，正在闪动。不知道怎么回事。
