为什么 icewm 启动会这么慢呢? 3 分钟

晕,没想到重装了还是这样,emerge 并设置好 xorg-x11 后就emerge icewm 了,装了 icewm 后设置 ~/.xinitrc 为:
#!/bin/sh
exec icewm-session
然后就 startx 了,为什么启动会这么慢呢?天啦,近3分钟,简直难以忍受,以前 debian 肯定不超过 10 秒。

而且,忍受完 3 分钟后,进入了,打开第一个程序(rox , urxvt 等等无论是什么程序)还得大约1分多钟,之后再开程序(无论是同一个还是不同),就快多了,rox , urxvt 之类的,不用 1 秒,使用正常。

问题在哪里?是不是和 SCIM 有什么关系吗?──我没有装 scim , 装的是 fcitx ,只是听说 xorg 默认用 scim .........而且,启动的时候大约 5 秒就看见 fcitx 的输入条了,然后苦等几分钟。

你还没尝试irc么?

呵呵,不会在 xchat 里增加频道,默认没有 sir 的,而且我白天一般忙到晚上十一点左右才回到宿舍,只有一点点时间配置,进展很慢,

不过你没有via内核模块

嗯,两个都有可能,
至于内核,我确实没编进来,我留意到了 VIA 那一项,但我以为是显卡驱动的,记得之前看过一个网页,说我这个显卡有四个驱动,可选其一,一个内核的,一个xorg的,一个是官方的,另一个不记得了,当时推荐 xorg 带的最好,新而且更新快,所以我以为编了 xorg 的就不用编内核的了
至于字体,每次启动或者注销 X 都有提示错误,
FreeFontPath : FPE "/usr/share/fonts/misc" refcount is 2 , should be 1 ; fixing.

曾发贴问过,VirusCamp版主说可能是个bug。
回去两个都试试看吧,把那个不存在的字体目录注销掉。

内核重新编译了,还是不行,似乎错误还是提示找不到 VIA 模块,至于字体,不知道改弄些什么,就没有做改动,

但很奇怪,用 XFCE4 的话却没有问题,速度非常快,启动 5 秒不到,进到界面后打开程序也是一闪就出来了,估计不用 1 秒,我是对速度要求非常高的人,原本以为 ICEWM 更快的,看来只有用 XFCE4 的命了(我只装 XFCE4 的基本包,共35M,),晕晕,以前花了那么多时间配置 ICEWM。

发现这个后,我把原本的 Xorg.0.log 删了,现在把启动 XFCE4 后重新生成的 log 文件贴出来,版主看看能不能从这两个文件的对比中找出问题在哪里.....辛苦了,,,

声明下,应该跟安装的 VeraSansYuanTi 字体没有关系吧,因为还没有安装这字体的时候就已经启动很慢的了,记得还没装 ICEWM 的时候,也启动了一次 X (startx),就是那个只有几个终端的很丑的界面,也很慢的。

XFCE4 做了什么?

不打算深入考究这个问题,转投 XFCE4 好了,,XFCE4 的速度还算满意,呵呵
