关于yum ，不得不发贴了

首先声明，本人刚开始用linux，所有牢骚只是心里郁闷，毫无说linux不好的道理，我也说了我的问题我能看到看懂得贴都试过了

我是在vmware workstation 5.5.3 build 34685 上装的fc5 dvd 镜像
题如下
1。挂载iso镜像我搞定了，不过我是将iso文件从host机xp传到fc5里面的，然后挂在镜像到/mnt/fc5下，这样用的，我想问的可不可以把关盘直接放光驱里面(一个iso3.02G，我虚拟机才分了8g)，然后挂载到/mnt/fc5下用呢？我试过，每次用mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/fc5 都会报mount :block device /dev/cdrom is write-protected,mounting read-only，并且add/remove software也总是停在获取软件包信息不到后报unable to retrieve software information

2。最关键的问题，那个yum源实在搞得我火大，先说说我网络情况，vm连得公司网，代理用得192.168.7.12/8080 那些yum源我用浏览器都能打开，甚至试过下xmms*.rpm得包来安装,关于代理我也把/etc/yum.conf文件加过
export http_proxy="http://user:password@ip:port"
export ftp_proxy="http://user:password@ip:port"
我尝试过http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-5-rpm
还有就是freshrpm得yum源，都连不上，报错error:skipping http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-5.rpm-transfer failed -unknown or unexported error

3.vmware那个vmtools 我挂载了vmware 目录下的linux镜像后(那个应该就是tools)，里面有tar。gz和 rpm 2个文件，我用rpm -ivh 安装过那个VMware Tools*.rpm的文件，也显示安装100%了，可是虚拟机还是显示没有安装tools，why？那个tar.gz的包。我tar过之后./运行那个.pl文件，一路回车下去结果说我没有gcc的头文件，天地良心，我定制软件包的时候有gcc符号的我都装了，请问gcc的includ文件夹在哪里？

这些问题烦我好几天了，小弟跪求解答，另外有没有能提供下命令大全的，最好要命令参数解释全面清楚的，有命令例子的最好，那个man 简直扼杀我等e文菜鸟

1. mount :block device /dev/cdrom is write-protected,mounting read-only应属正常（具体的英文提示是什么样子，我得回去后确定确定）。直接访问/mnt/fc5即可。
2. yum源：抱歉。我还没解决。
3. vmtools 安装：如果你确定自己装了gcc（好象是在administration tool里面，记得不是很清楚），rpm -ivh *.rpm之后，输入vm，按两次Tab健，选择扩展名为pl的包，一路回车后应该就可以装上了。当然，你得重启后才生效。
4.命令大全我有。发邮件给我，我附给你philhu2000@tom.com

哦。直接装到硬盘上没什么事的。这样比较好点。关于装什么XMMS
#yum -y install xmms
#yum -y install xmms-mp3
#yum -y install xmms-wma
你以为你装是WINDOWS啊。这个东西不要钱的。当然得付出点什么东西...

我也知道不要钱撒，昨天去下了个xxms的rpm包，放到fc里面装了快一个多小时，不停的解压包，下载package，搞了半天最后完了居然安装部成功，郁闷死了，有没现成的xxmsrpm包，发一个给我好不，邮箱是binhu20@126.com

我想知道的是挂在iso镜像和挂在光驱里面的光盘为什么前者可以用add/remove software 后者则报unable to retrieving software information?
