文一个安装播放器的问题

我从网上下载了mplayer和kmplayer，在安装的时候都是不能安装，特别是kmplayer我按照网上的教程，下载，./configure到了   make   make install 就没反应了，我装了n次了，每次都是这样！！！checking for extra libs... no

make: *** 没有指明目标并且找不到 makefile。 停止。
[gary@localhost kmplayer-0.9.4a]$  make install
make: *** 没有规则可以创建目标“install”。 停止。
就停止了，mplayer也是这样，根本就不能安装，那位大侠知道，告诉小弟一声把，可能对你来说，这不是什么问题，可是对我来说去是很大的帮助

yum install mplayer不行么？为什么要用源码安装？
