can not use the left Alt key

I have a problem,when I finished install linux OS with RedHat4.8
I can not use the left Alt key.and the right Alt keyis OK.
how can I do it .
someone tell me to change the file in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
but I can not find the file. for XF86Config-4
