可能没有Mandriva Linux 2011版了

又到了每6个月一次的新版发布时间，但目前Mandriva公司的财政困难，并且解雇了大量Linux开发和维护人员，到现在为止新版测试计划完全没有开始，没有任何迹象表明会有一个新版本将在近期发布。希望仅仅是推迟发布，但也许不会再有Mandriva Linux 2011版了，甚至可能不会再有任何新版发布了。只能说希望Mandriva Linux 2010 Spring不是最后一个Mandriva的发行版本。

Mandriva是我用过的最好的Linux发行版。

我不认为这个发行版会那么快就ooxx掉。刚发布的opera 10.63，源马上就跟上了。报道不是说轰走了一大波团队精英吗？但好像该使还是继续使。

我觉得也许没想的那么糟。

前两天mandriva公司官方说了会有mandriva 2011的，但是不会像现在半年这么短的升级周期了，mandriva现在重心会放在服务器和BRIC这样的新兴市场，以后也会有powerpack这样的版本。俄罗斯某公司注资5million euro，来以mandriva为基础作为俄罗斯国家操作系统的建设（这个威武。。。）

7年损失了3000万欧元，这次真的会有人投资吗？
确实Cooker开发仍在继续，但走了那么多人，以后会变成怎么样，很难说。
也许Mandriva公司会存在，但Mandriva Linux就难说了。
Fork Mandriva Linux? 我不觉得这是个好主意。Mandriva花了这么多钱也没有能让其发行版成功，很难想象纯粹的社区版能做得特别好。目前纯粹的社区做得好的，也仅有Debian。Ubuntu、openSUSE、Fedora背后都是公司支持的。
