three days! Gentoo installed, but no sound, no chinese input.

my first time to install gentoo, it is not so difficult with so many docs in gentoo site. But the netbook i am using is so f**ked ShanZhai edition.

Till now, I got:

xfce+thunar+wicd (wired and wireless both perfect)

chromium (everyday use)

Lyx+texlive (for document edition, it is perfect for science paper)

SMplayer (multimedia, video,audio)

evince(for pdf viewer)

vim (I am not get used with nano)

输入法建议fcitx ，简单易用。配置简单，声音可以参考gentoo的alsa配置文档

but they do not work properly.

I'll analyse the situation later.

系统装了三个月，内核配置了一年半的笨鸟路过。

fcitx不行,多半和locale有关, 安装wiki上好好设置你的locale
, 然后应该没问题的.

gentoo 确实折腾, 但是也能学到很多东西, 我现在家里pc用gentoo/arch,
笔记本用arch, gentoo 第一次安装确实很麻烦,我感觉主要关口在kernel上, 得自己一个一个的仔细研究, 不过现在有kernel-seed, 情况好多了.

root# rc-update add alsa-sound default
* rc-update: service `alsa-sound' does not exist

goagent+GAE+chromium(with switchsharp extention)  GREAT!!!

输入法用scim，觉得比现在的fcitx4.xx好用多了，最新的scim在firefox、flashplayer下都没问题，只需要在package.use加个~x86就OK,声音只要在内核别选错就行，一般不是hd 就是ac97两种。
