Help!I can't use fctix

I had install the fcitx in my system. But I can't use it. When I press Ctrl+Space ,there is no effects. When I type command fctix in terminal windows, the system give me some error information such as below.

dingxb@linux:/etc/sysconfig> fcitx
无法加载字体 -*-fixed-medium-r-normal--16-*-*-*-*-*-*-*,-*-*-medium-r-normal--16-*-*-*-*-*-zh_CN.GBK-*
字体区域 zh_CN.GBK 不支持! 使用 zh_CN.GB2312
没有设置XMODIFIERS！


My system is SuSe 8.1 , And I use Linux very often. Chinese input method is very important for me (just because my poor English which most friend can't read it)

suse 8.1好像是不支持gbk的，用zh_CN.gb2312试试看。

不对，应该不只是字体的问题。

来设置一下，然后看能不能用。
