我启动mysql时遇到的问题

[root@dhcp-13-111 root]# mysql -u root -p

ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)，这是我启动时的画面
请问一下我应该怎么做才能启动mysql

一般来说用rpm包安装的用这个脚本来启动：
/etc/rc.d/init.d/mysqld start

我该怎么办

没有设定本机的网络参数。
如IP等。

是这样的，我的机器里面只有一块网卡，我是用有线通上网的必須把获得
IP的方法设成dhcp，我不能设IP我该怎么办。你说的那个手册在什么地
