ati显卡问题

我是一个新手，有一块ati的radeon8500，下了驱动之家的最新驱动，我安的是mandrake8.1的系统，用root运行了rpm -ivh fglr200-glc22-4.2.0-1.4.3.i586
在usr/X11R6/lib/下有了一个libGL.so.1.2请问我下面该怎么做？

安装完后,要改动/etc/X11/XF86Config-4文件,就改显卡那一栏的driver。因为没有ATI的说明文件，这个有点麻烦。。。
把你的XF86Config-4文件内容传上来，大家试着改动一下。看一下情况怎么样。。

我改了一下，就是上面的那个帖子里面有红字的就是。改完了后，用
#startx
来测试。
注意：不要运行drakconf或其它的配制方法，因为别的方法对升级显卡驱动来说行不通。

兄弟,这个的问题,谁也不能给你一个明确的答案.这就是linux，linux就是要我们多多思考，能让我们变的更聪明。。。。。

就是不行，也应该有个错误信息吧。。。要看错误信息来配制显卡。

真的一点信息也没有，就跟刚装完系统一样，照样可以使，我现在的桌面是800X600 16位色，我刚装完系统也是这的分辨率！现在就是拖动窗口时响应时间特慢，就跟win下没显卡驱动一样，只不过颜色比win下不装驱动好

来启动吗？？
如果能，那就是用的ati的驱动了。。。。其它的，我们再研究。。。有点信心。。。哈。。。

我原来一启动linux就自动进X
现在不行了，我用任何一个用户（一个是我建的，一个是root）打startx都进不去
提示：execve failed for /etc/X11/X (errno 13)
      #stargiving up.
      xinit: No Such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X
      xinit: No Such proccess (errno 3): Server error
