scim doesn`t work

I am using MDK 9.2 and download SCIM RPM  scim-0.8.2-1.i586.rpm from turbolinux site, my locale is set to zh_CN, and when I start scim, it tells me

Loading Server module: rawcode ...
    Loading Server Factory 0 ... : OK
rawcode Server module is successfully loaded.
Loading Server module: table ...
Failed to load table Server module.
Loading x11 FrontEnd module ...
Starting SCIM ...

failed to load table server module, what is table servber module for? how can I fix this problem? thanks
it is my first time touch SCIM, I hope it can replace FCITX in my computer

You did not install any additional input method module.

If you use PinYin, please install scim-chinese-0.2.6-1.i586.rpm,
if you use other IM, like WuBi, Ziranma etc. please install scim-tables-zh-0.3.0-1.noarch.rpm

please refer to the user manual for details.

thanks for your reply, I downlaoded rpm and installed them, now I can start SCIM

it tells:

#export XMODIFIERS="@im=SCIM"
#/usr/bin/scim -d

seems it has no problem to start it, I see a tray icon in my KDE tray too.
but I can no activate the input interface by pressing CTRL+SPACE,
and I tried register several other key combos, such as CTRL+SHIFT+1 etc, but still, nothing shows me,

please help if you can , thanks in advance!
