How to USE apt to upgrade Gnome 2.2 to Gnome 2.4?

I have install the APT for suse....but when I run apt upgrade gnome2,i it failured...the msg is :
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 removed and 0 not upgraded.

you need to include gnome2 in you sources.list file.
