版主和个位高手请看:fedora下的输入法问题

我用如下方法安装小企鹅输入法:
1:下载fcitx-3.0.0rc-1.i386.rpm
2:/etc/init.d/IIim stop(卸载fedora core自带输入法)
3:rpm -e miniChinput

FEDORA CORE 2 CHINESE ENVIRONMENT SETTING

    Prefix:
    When installing Fedora core 2, please choose only ENGLISH support,
    whenever in installation process or after installation. We will
    add CHINESE support manually later on.

    1. Enable reading of CHINESE words

    After installation completes, it is time to add CHINESE font.

    The following link shows some internal logic concerning to Fedora core 2
    (http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/li ... LEASE-NOTES-en.html)

    As the above manual shows, Fedora core 2 utilizes two font subsystems:
    classic XFS method, and newly Fontconfig/XFT method. I only tests the
    Fontconfig/XFT method. However, when I try the XFS method, the command
    chkfontpath seems to be stucked. I do not know why. OK, let us continue
    by supposing you'd like to use the Fontconfig/XFT method. Here is the
    steps.

    a) copy font files ending with .ttf and .ttc, including capital cases
    like .TTF from your WINDOWS installation folder to some folder in your
    LINUX installation. I choose to use /usr/share/fonts/local.

    b). I read some manuals showing it is important to make sure the file
    name to be low-case. So, let'e do it. Here is the perl script doing
    this from http://brendan.sdf-eu.org/articles/antialiasing_slack.php.

    find . | perl -ne 'chomp; next unless -e; $new=lc($_); rename $_,$new'

    After that, letting files ending with .ttc to end with .ttf (ttc means
    collection of true type fonts). Lastly, remember to use chmod to make
    these font files are readable to other users.

    c). In the end, use fc-cache to cache the folder containg our newly
    font files. In my case, it is:

    fc-cache /usr/share/fonts/local

    So, now, you can view chinese word without any problems.

    2. Enable inputting CHINESE words

    The fcitx is the method I used. You just need to download the source code
    of 3.0RC from www.fcitx.org, compile, and install it. As it shows in the
    prefix part, only ENGLISH support is used in the installation process.
    So actions such as shutting down IIIMF service and removing miniChinput,
    xcin inputting method will not be necessary. For more details, please see
    the fcitx installation manual from their site.

    After completion of installation of fcitx, we should add the following
    to our .bashrc, .xsession or whatever. I only try to use .bashrc. So
    you can try others if you want.

    **************CUT HERE***************
    * export XMODIFIERS="@im=fcitx"                *
    * export XIM=fcitx                                        *
    * export XIM_PROGRAM=fcitx                        *
    * export LC_CTYPE=zh_CN.gb2312                *
    **************CUT HERE***************

    Complete adding? Fine, let's log out and then log in. Now, you can open
    a gnome-terminal and tyep fcitx -nb. A small box will show up. That is
    fcitx. You probably need to refer to the fcitx manual in order to make
    some nice configurations.

    3. Up to now, it will be fine for us to read and type CHINESE words in
    applications such as Mozilla, GAIM, and evolution etc. But wait, seems
    one application is not on the list. It is true. The OpenOffice is not.
    I do find there are some problems existing in the OpenOffice application
    accompanying with the original Fedora core 2. So, I install it manually
    after I complete the installation of Fedora core 2. You just only need
    to get an ENGLISH version of OpenOffice.org1.1.2 from its web site and install it. Once done, we should enable CHINESE language support by
    going to Tools menubar --> Options --> Language Settings --> Languages.
    Make sure you do this as a root, otherwise it won't be in effect. Also
    you maybe need to refer to setup.pdf in order to add some fancy fonts.
