昨晚搞到三点多，还是没法开机，问题已解决！

开机是出现can't create lock file /etc/mtab~251:Read-only file system (use -n flag to override)  [!!]

Give root password for maintenance
(or type Control -D for normal startup):打了root的密码进去后
bash-2.05b#mount /dev/hda3 / -o rw,remount
can't create lock file /etc/mtab~429:Read-only file system (use -n flag to override)

chmod +w /etc/mtab试试

是mtab,主要问题是根分区无法正常挂载，“can't create lock file /etc/mt.......”前面的内容贴出来看看呗？还有fstab也贴出来看看

是fstab写错了，已经改正。
不过开机在出现login时输入用户名后
出现loginAM Failure,aborting:Critical error - immediate abort

无法登入

我查了很久，确认这是2004.3的问题。
得#emerge pam-login才行。
但是光盘上没有相应的包。
我的网络要认证，现在没办法上网。
我想要用U盘拷进去。但是LiveCD不支持。
我已#modprobe usb-storage #modprobe vfat
PS：我用的是PPC版的。

我查看了/etc/pam.d下面没有login这个文件

写了一个一样的。
#ls /lib/security
login文件里的pam*.so在这里面都有的。
然后我reboot后在登入时，输入root后出现Login incorrect
