Vmware 5: Fedora 4 in XP - unable to activate and DHCP

Problem: Fail to get DHCP address in the guest OS(Fedora 4), in XP no problem.

System P4 1.5G 512MB, XP, Vmware 5 build 13124, Guest OS: Fedora 4.
Network card under XP is Intel &#174ro/100VE

The device network option under Vmware that I choose for the fedora 4 is: Bridged.
Notices that under the guest OS the network card detected is : AMD 79c970 Pcnet32 LANCE and the status is o.k.
This seem should not correct as the physical card is Intel &#174RO.

So I try to remove the AMD and choose a closer Ethernet option  Intel Express PRO 100B and select and IRQ 3 (default is none)

Than I activate the eth0 and the system trying to obtain the IP address but fail.
Also notice that under the hardware tap: the AMD is still present and status is o.k. but the Intel Express Pro is still inactive.

Can some one advice? Thanks.

The guest OS cannot see your real NIC. VMware 5.0 simulates AMD card for guests. If you check the video card in guest, it is vmware something.

So..., you should know where to try.
