How can I insert special character in emacs?

emacs有自带的各个语言的输入法，你可以找找有没有输入符号的，而 C-q 可以作为输入字符前缀，比如 C-q C-h 则会插入一个 ^H 字符，也就是 '\b'

ps：我想请问一下，vi如何输入 °

I can't understand you, C-q C-h is equal with "^" + "H", what's the difference? And can't emacs type special characters without 自带的各个语言的输入法. As you know, vi can, so I think emacs can also.
