有谁在用LFS 6.2-1版本编译LFS，我是新手。我问个问题。
在编译gcc 4.0.3的时候，需要不需要打那个specs的patch。我一打那个patch，就编译通不过了。如果不patch，可以正常编译gcc。
那问题是，我是不是按照手册上的过程编译就可以了，如果步骤里边没有打patch，我就不用管那个包的patch？

specs patch is used in the 2nd pass of gcc.

Short answer: YES!

I highly recommend you to go through the LFS handbook at least once to understand the whole concept and build processes of LFS before you proceed.

Many new LFS comers simply follow the instructions from the BOOK and type (or worst by copy-and-paste) commands without realizing the philosophy of why each package is compiled in such way and what are compiled.  Actually, there are many treasures available from the BOOK.

The LFS handbook is available from your LFS LiveCD.  You may enter GUI with startx, read it with SeaMonkey.  If you need network access, run net-setup.  For detail operations with the LiveCD, please read README in the LiveCD.

As you are a Gentoo guru, I believe you will not encounter much problems during your build.
