Please help on fcitx

I am using English Redhat 8.0

after installed fcitx following the instruction, I could see the small icon with "fcitx" in red and a Chinese "Five", but could not activate the input method with ctrl-space.

I have tried many combinations of locale, but the problem persists.

Could these log entries help anybody to help me?

你的做法很好，呵呵。
你这个问题是因为locale不对，先检查一下locale的设置，再按照fcitx说明文件里的locale那里，对照着看一下。也可以在本版搜索locale

你的LC_ALL和LANG不一样啊，先把它们改成一样的吧。
字体不会的，如果是字体问题，不会影响ctrl+space呼出的，只不过你看不到输入条里有汉字。
要改的文件是：
~/.bashrc
redhat8还要看看：
/etc/sysconfig/i18n
