不就alsa和oss嘛,哪来太多啊? 文中作者的感慨:
The standard procedure to fix something in Linux seems to be to implement a library that hides the problems in the original design. Then somebody else comes with yet another library that runs on top of the first one and fixes the problems in it. This process gets repeated until nobody can manage the situation. Then some brilliant developer starts from the beginning. Few years ago ALSA was supposed to be the ultimate solution. Then Jack became THE solution. Now PulseAudio is hot. Some users prefer Gstreamer. Earlier we had ESD and many other similar subsystems. What will come next?
最后是canonical公司的人愿意帮他
I will get as many people as I possibly can to send that letter to Mark Shuttleworth’s PR rep, Claire Newman. Its a start…
