something you should take attetion to when you use fdisk or cfdisk

when you use fdisk or cfdisk modify the partition table,It will call kernel to re-read the the partition table after writting the partition table.sometimes it could fails for some reason,it will tell you some warning like this:

WARNING: Re-reading the partition table failed with error ... (fdisk v2.12r)

Wrote partition table ,but re-read table failed.Reboot to update table. (cfdisk v2.12r)

when this happened,you must reboot your computer if you want to format your new partition.


I noticed that situation for the first time,and the manual also have talked about that,I hope it could help you.
