Ubuntu8.04 启动gnome设置守护进程时出错

昨天遇到了一件解决不了的事情，求助一下各位。
昨天可能动了network manager，后来重启之后，输入用户名和密码就等了好久，左上角一直有一个白色的矩形区域，差不多5分钟可以看到界面，分辨率已经不是以前的分辨率了，同时出现“启动gnome设置守护进程时出错”的对话框，其中最后的错误信息为：
"Did not receive a reply. Possible causes
include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus
security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the
network connection was broken.
GNOME在您下次登录时仍将试图重启动设置守护进程  "

我在网上查了一下，看到的解决方法一般都是
$ sudo vim /etc/network/interfaces
修改网络配置
$ sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
可是我按照所有的方式都试过，每次重新启动gnome还是会遇到这种问题，每次都5分钟才能进去，郁闷死了。

我使用的 路由器外接adsl，现在我的/etc/networks/interfaces中为
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.10
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1

我把它改成
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
后也解决不了问题。

现在我的network manager里面的DNS服务器有3个，分别是
192.168.1.1
202.102.128.68
202.102.154.3

实在解决不了了，所有上来求助一下，谢谢各位，期望可以得到可行的建议
