不知道是不是https证书的问题？因为我今天开pidgin时提示了几次证书的确认。
不过我没用过Empathy，所以只是猜测...

在网上查了一下用
killall telepathy-butterfly这个命令，然后重启就可以登录了，具体原因不明。

原文说明
telepathy-butterfly is the MSN connection manager for telepathy.
Telepathy is a flexible, modular communications framework that enables real-time communication via pluggable protocol backends.

Empathy uses Telepathy for protocol support and has a user interface based on Gossip.

My system is Ubuntu 10.04 and meet the same problem

dpkg -P telepathy-butterfly

remove my msn account and the add it again

I reconnet the account successfully.

fedora 16

有程序报错提示。

按照上面的方法试下先

fdora 16 系统，貌似killall telepathy-butterfly 后还是不行。
