Job Description
Responsibilities:
* Timely definition, documentation and implementation of test
criteria in working together with the SUSE engineering teams,
other Novell teams as well as Partners
* Construct and maintain automation test environments and tools on
source codes
* Execution of software tests
* Development of test software for new technologies on demand
* Maintenance and improvements of existing test tools
* Ongoing evaluation of new test tools
* Integration of new test tools into existing test harnesses
Required Skills
Qualification:
* Graduation as IT Specialist or similar qualification;
* Strong programming skills in script languages (e.g. perl, python,
shell)
* Knowledge of C or other programming languages is a plus
* Good knowledge of Unix and Linux operating systems
* Experience with debugging of systems and applications
* Fluent in verbal and written English
SUSE- QA Automation Engineer
Job Description
The SUSE Quality Assurance department plays a critical role in ensuring the overall quality of SUSE products. This QA Engineer position is both a development/engineering and customer support role. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining automation tools and scripts, training customers and supporting them in their deployments, and analyzing and debugging reported issues. You will work along with other QA engineers, product leaders and developers to fulfill these responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Directly support and be the main point of contact for certain customer deployments.
- Understand customer environments and duplicate customer deployment scenarios internally for testing and debugging.
- Handle and fix customer-reported issues, where applicable.
- Design, develop and document automation tools, features and test scripts.
- Execute automated tests and analyze and report the results.
- Create documentation and provide occasional on-site customer training and support.
- This position will require approximately 10% of time on travel to customer locations (about 6 weeks per year).
Required Skills
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years or more of experience in software development/engineering or customer support.
- Excellent working knowledge of Linux.
- Programming skills. Proficient in one or more programming/scripting languages (preferred languages: Perl, Python, C/C++, PHP, SQL, Bash).
- Good communication skills (Chinese and English).
- Ability to interact with customers directly.
- Experience conducting technical internal or customer trainings.
- Prior QA or automation testing experience preferred.
- Debugging systems and applications.
- Quick at learning and understanding new products and technologies.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a global team and across time zones.
- Fluent in verbal and written English.

For our server team in Beijing, we are looking for a senior Linux Developer.
Required Skills
Strong background in server technologies. Having experience in, and
a solid understanding of, one or more of the following areas would be
a plus:
- Linux Virtualization (XEN or KVM)
- Linux High Availability
- Cloud (IaaS) technologies in general, and openstack in particular
- Storage technologies in general
- RAS technologies of the x86_64 platform, including fault management
and tracing
Furthermore, good communication skills, also in English, are strongly
