为什么VSFTP不能运行

我装的是RH8.0中的VSFTP,在运行时提示
[root@localhost /]# vsftpd
500 OOPS: unrecognised variable in config file
为什么?

[root@localhost root]# vsftpd restart
500 OOPS: vsftpd: cannot open specified config file
[root@localhost root]# /etc/init.d/vsftpd start
bash: /etc/init.d/vsftpd: No such file or directory
[root@localhost root]# find / -name vsftpd
find: /proc/977/fd: No such file or directory
/usr/sbin/vsftpd
/etc/xinetd.d/vsftpd
/etc/pam.d/vsftpd
没有你说的目录.
用rpm -qa vsftpd,rpm -qa anonftp看,两个包都已安装

我的也有类似的情况，提示：
500 OOPS:  Could not bind listening Socket.
我不知道是为什么，我的防火墙是没有问题！！
我的前段时间是好的，但被我捣鼓了一段时间再用就成这样了，好象只是装了几个软件而已。

问题出错一定找原因
rpm -qa|grep vsftp
看看自己都装了些什么东西
vsftp.conf在修改之前先备份
出现这个问题一定是修改了vsftp.conf
解决办法是先恢复回来的配置文件，然后在找原因
另外：redhat linux 9.0的vsftp已经从xinetd分离出来

注意修改/etc/vsftpd/vsftp.conf和目录权限
