about Chinese input method

I use KDE in mdk9.1. The locale is en_US-UTF-8. I installed Chinese Simplified and used Font Simsun. The applications can display Chinese well, but I cannot input Chinese!!! I have tried fcitx and xsim. For the fcitx, I have to change the CTYPE to zh_CN, but once change it, the menus become Chinese(I want them in English); for the xsim, it can input Chinese correctly in some applications except the terminal and morzzia, but the characters in its panel displays as a "mouth".
    Please help me or recommand a better soft.

First post your ~/.i18n file or your /etc/i18n. And if you keep LANGUAGE=en_US and only change LC_CTYPE=zh_CN then your menu will be in English and keep input program happy. You will also need to modify the XIM and XIMMODIFIER setting in your i18n file. Check fcitx's website or this forum's input section for more detail. Good luck.

I tried fcitx and xcin. They both worked fine but I recommand fcitx. It is good.

In the /etc/sysconfig/i18n , I just add two lines for the XSIM, but didn't change the C_TYPE because once I changed it, the menus would be Chinese.
