General speaking, it is impossible. But you can use another method. Backup Linux system on to other device (Tape or CD-R or other HDD) then fdisk your destination HDD and resize it, format it (the partition format should be the same as the previous was). After all these works, your can restore your Linux system on to your destination HDD.
