下载了gWuBi-1.0.tar.gz文件，按说明里面的第二种方法安装，就象这里一个贴所说的一样，图标始终不出来！

而下载rpm包用第一种方法安装，出现图标却不能使用！
用g5config设置，也不知道应该改什么地方，反正随便改了一两处无关紧要的地方，还是不行！

回Yuking兄，我用g5config设置环境变量时，没有更改什么东西，保存退出重启后仍然不行。
但今天中午我把系统重装（Linux 7.3）后，卸载系统自带的输入法，再用gWuBi-1.0.tar.gz文件重装五笔，重启后仍然不见“g五五”的图标，后来用了http://www.linuxsir.cn/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=6054一文的方法，照着修改，重启后出现“G五五”小图标，但是却没有任何反应，也就是说不能使用！没办法，再到论坛上，一篇一篇贴子找，不记得是找到哪篇贴子，照着设置环境变量，把字体改成gb18030，当然，前面还加上了光标跟随、自动隐藏等。重启后，奇迹出现，可以用了！

一件事情没有原因的做不出，照着我的脾气，是一定要保留这个环境，找出原因的。但由于我是刚刚才开始接触Linux，所知实在有限，没办法，只好选择重装系统这个笨办法，用最干净的系统来试。
不过，这么多兄弟一次都能成功，而我还是折腾了这么久，其中的原因还是难以明白，今天我总共是改了两次，最后成功了。但我想把第一步改回来，再试试可不可以，我觉得还是跟g5config关系要大一些，也就是改gb18030那里。

不过，最后发现使用G五笔输入法时，里面的字体、字形特别难看，论坛上好象有贴子，我再来试试把G五笔里面的字体改“靓”一点吧。

这可能与安装系统有关,我安装是系统选择了三程语言,中文简体,中文繁体,英文,默认是中文简体,我汉化是用simsun字体来汉化的。
