haha, I asked the same question month ago. It seems nobody care about it. :-(
I'm asking for help as I've been really frustrated about making SCIM work on my debian with LANG=en_US.UTF-8, I still like scim though, ;) but the thing is i need something allows me to type chinese in a pure UTF8 environment. I remember that there was a thread discussing about how to use fcitx with UTF8, but i didn't pay attention to it as i thought SCIM supports utf8 from day one, and i had it working fine on a slackware 9 (not anymore since i upgraded gnome to 2.6), SCIM would be my choice... now, i wanna look at that thread again, but the forum system here doesn't have advanced search, only 1 keyword is allowed for each search, i would say, with this setting, the search feature is unuseable... anyway, i had no choice but to re-post it again, any ideas/suggestions/tips/hints/clues/whatever-replies would be greatly appreciated! |
