Xen, the alien world in Half-Life FPS game?  No, it is an open source alternative to VMWare.

Xen is developed by the University of Cambridge that can emulate open source OSes such as Linux and BSD, sorry no windoze!  RedHat and Novell are going to include Xen in next release.

For those who are frequently switching distros, xen is very worth trying.

值得大力提倡一下。性能据说不错。
我是从xen.sf.net直接下的2.0.2版的安装包，一台piii450作nfs server提供guest系统。dom0是一台p42.6的机器，(在机房不好意思把linux分区搞的那么大，只分了2个gb)。那台慢得机器有硬盘空间，快得机器有处理器资源，正好互补一下。
准备用来测试一些数据库，http服务器的负载均衡方案，等到期末考完，呵呵。

Good news.  Xen draws supports from big-name like Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard, Novell, Red Hat, Intel, Advanced Micro Devices and IBM etc.  Upcoming release of FC4 and SuSE 9.3 Pro are likely to include Xen in the distributions.

xen我安装起来了，但是在安装xen上的虚拟机之后出现了几个问题。
1。在虚拟机下执行ls命令时，会出现死机的问题
2。使用vi 编辑文件时竟然会出现乱码，不知道哪个配置文件出了问题。--这也是我最头疼的地方。
3。我试图在虚拟机下开启图形界面，不能成功~~~
