Yes, basically, you can.
However, the kernel source codes being used by various distros may not be the vanilla kernel, most of the time, distro vendor may apply certain patches to the kernel source codes to change its behaviour, say patching the kernel with additional squashfs, reiserfs4 supports etc. These changes may contribute to the differentiations. |
