请教大家如何安装运行KDE(以附个人详细操作)

小弟第一次使用Archlinux,很多东西不懂,请大家多包涵,下面说说我的操作过程.

安装ARCH-0.72的base,成功.
接下来做的几件事是:
1.pppoe-setup , pppoe-start      OK
2.cp /etc /backup             OK
3. vi /etc/pacman.conf   
   Server = http://mirror.vmmatrix.net/ArchLinux/current/os/i686
   Server = http://mirror.vmmatrxi.net/ArchLinux/extra/os/i686
4.pacman -S pacman
5.pacman -Syu
6.pacman -S xorg hwd xterm
7.pacman -S xf86-video-i810
8.hwd -x
9.mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf.hwd  /etc/X11/xorg.conf
10.startx
11.xdpyinfo  |grep resolution
12.pacman -S xorg-fonts-75dpi
到这里我感觉都没问题,接着就要装DE了，我装DE的时候XFCE4是没问题的，装好了直接STARTXFCE4就可以了,但是KDE遇到了问题
13. pacman -S kdebase 或者kde
下载并安装结束后，我不知道怎么才能启动KDE,也试过 vi ~/.xinitrc,添加这个文件,但是没用.
我现在不急与弄汉化，只求先把KDE给启动起来.始终没成功.
下面我帖出lspci的内容，大家看看我的驱动有没有问题

用gdm试试

或者用kdm、gdm之类的东西。

不会吧 kde用gdm？

kde就用kdm不就好了？gdm还要安装gnome部分

其实用哪个dm都无所谓啦，不是很打的，个人比较喜欢gdm（我不用gnome的）所以就推荐了

装好kde后在重新登录一下，startkde才生效

我的办法是修改 /etc/inittab
x:5:respawn:/opt/kde/bin/kdm -nodaemon

多谢大家的热心帮助,不过今天我重装了一遍.找找原因.下面再提供一些信息. 当我安装了XORG以后,使用hwd工具进行配置,然后直接修改文件名xorg.conf,然后安装驱动:pacman -S xf86-viedo-i810 ,然后startx的时候，我已经进入到了xorg的界面,也就是黑底百框的终端界面.然后我退出X,发现startx的时候有些错误提示,如下:

所以，现在我想可能XORG我还没完全配置好，虽然可以进入XORG.

还有个问题，我曾经试过pacman -S kdm,似乎提示没这个包呢.
