emerge kdebase-startkde出错 （附问题一堆）

用livecd装的，想用kde所以没装任何附加程序。
先是emerge --sync，emerge -uND world,
提示etc 要update，没看明白选项没弄
装上xorg-x11，

#emerge kdebase-startkde，
编译 X11-libs/qt-4.1.4-r2出错。
下面是抄下来的信息：(不知有没有笔误)

cups.cpp: 1:23:error: cups/cups.h: No suchfile or directory
cups.cpp: In function 'int main (int.char**)'
cups.cpp: 5:error: 'cups_dest_t'  was not declared in this scope
cups.cpp: 5:error: 'd'  was not declared in this scope
cups.cpp: 6:error:'cups GetDests' was not declared in this scope

make:***[cups.o] Error!

cups disabled
cups support can not be enable due to functionaility tests!

Turn on verbose massageing (-v) to ./configure to see the final report
....

看得不是很明白，不知道该怎样。

附几个没搞清楚的问题：

1. xorg-x11装上后，想配置分辨率和刷新率怎么改啊，用Xorg -configure生成了个配置。
2.etc-update ，有 -3 ，-5 ， -7， -9 几个选项，选哪个好些？
3. startx ，退出后提示
      (EE) AIGLX : Screen 0 is not DRI capale  
4: 开机root第一次登录就提示
      configuration error _unknow item "GETPASS_ASTERISKS" (notify administrator)
