难道要买一个内置adsl mordem才好?

我的fedora不能上网,郁闷中。

难道要买一个内置adsl mordem才好?

有usb 的 adsl modern  ,Conexant 芯片的。 pppoe拨号上网。

我是初学者。总得先上了网再继续学习啊。要不。。。。

建议你先从编译配置内核入手,一般来说,只要你的设备不是太新,内核基本都有相关的驱动程序。。。而不用找所谓的官方驱动(一般版本太久,而且往往和内核驱动是一致的)。你网卡和猫集成在一块?

网卡和猫不是集成的.好烦啊,这就开学了,就没时间搞这么麻烦的东西了.
有一个Conexant AccessRunner ADSL LAN Adapter 猫
和一个Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC 网卡

你用lsusb找不到任何设备,可能的原因是:
你现在的内核不支持usb设备,这就要配置或编译一下内核,如果是fc5.0或6.0的内核就应该没有问题
看一下你得usb adsl有没有和计算机连接好,usb adsl的电源指示灯亮不亮
lsusb命令有吗?也就是那个rpm包安装了没有,正常情况下应该显示usb口的状态,而不管有没有连接设备
你的网卡应该是主板集成吧?

一般来说,adsl猫不需要安装驱动,你需要安装好8139网卡的驱动,连接好后,在fc中打开网络设备,创建一个adsl(ppp)连接,输入相关密码用户名,dns等,就行了。。。
请帖lsusb, dmesg 两个命令的输出信息,你不说清楚没人帮得了你!
