Nvidia 173.14.05 for Linux x86/x86-64 驱动释出

曾经，Nvidia说：我们绝不会去支持非正式版的Xorg的（意思是Fedora 9的用户你们歇歇吧）。但在前几天，freedesktop.org发出话来说：估计我们到7月份，就能放出正式版的Xorg 7.4了。7~~月份。于是群众们坐不住了，开始给Nvidia施加更大的压力。终于，Nvidia 放出了 173.14.05 linux版本驱动。这意味着Fedora 9下的Nvidia用户总算有官方驱动用了。

2 Xorg Server 1.5的preliminary（预？初步？）支持。意思是如果你的xorg因为人品或者别的问题还是没法用，你就认为这个驱动是初步支持。如果用的很好，CompizFusion很绚烂，那就是预支持。因为Xorg server 1.5还没出呢。

下载了NVIDIA-Linux-x86-173.14.05-pkg0.run和NVIDIA-Linux-x86-173.14.05-pkg1.run两个驱动。
每个都试了。
每次重启都是在命令行界面的Login处狂闪数次，然后停住。无法进入X。
能说说你是怎么成功的么？：）3X！！

下载驱动后，自己编译模块安装的，就那几个步骤啊，我是7300的显卡，可能因为显卡型号不同吧

你试下Login，用root，然后startx，然后看看是什么错，看是不是可以通过修改xorg.conf来解决。
当然你也可以去/var/log下的Xorg.0.log或者Xorg.1.log，类似这样的Log文件，看看里边的出错信息是什么。

我的也是这个型号的卡，用起来没问题。

rpm -Uvh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-9.rpm
再
yum install kmod-nvidia -y
就行了。

使用了youngtrips的yum的方法，还是不行，在终端使用startx启动，报错如下：
