my modem chipset is Intel536ep. So I went to Intel site to download the driver. But the drivers for RH9.0 kernal is 2.4.20-6. But my system kernal is 2.4.20-8. Anyway, I install that driver, then i can dailup. 2 minutes later, the modem drops line automatically, and kppp displayes that I am still online. During the 2 minites, I can ping out, such as ping my nameserver ( the ISP name server) But I can't visit webpages. I have read the KPPP常见疑难问题解答(请大家都来补充） [精]. It still does not work. Please help me to figure it. thanks.

It is a weird problem that I used lspci -vv, I found IRQ 10 of modem, but I can't find the modem I/O, which should be in modem section. That is the reason that I can't use setserial command.
