“Linux”正确读音及音标

我支持/'li:nэks/这个读音，当初我也是从那个录音中肯定了这个读音。刚才又听了一遍，对照音标，不是这个/'linju:ks/。关键看中间是发nэ这个音，不是nju:。

我和楼上有一位一样，也是英语单词语法都不行，但发音还可以，我最初看到linux的时候，我就知道他的正确读音，英语当中根本没有这种情况读[nju]的。可气的是，我说正确的读音（不好意思，我的输入法打不了音标）的时候，那些鸟人听不懂，非得让我改口
“扭一扭”他们才听得懂，还大叫“原来你说得是“林纽克斯””好像我错了似的！！！

在'linux'这个单词的发音上存在两个流派。因为linux与UNIX类似并且最初进行开发的程序员叫Linus很多人认为'i'应该发长音，就像'line-ucks'那样发音。另一方面linux的开发是为了代替一种类似UNIX的Minx（i发短音）系统，所以linux阵营的另一部分人认为单词的正确的发音是先重读第一个音节，然后是短音'i'就像'Li-nicks'这样。那一种正确呢？最初的开发者们使用的后一种发音，但大多数的北美人喜欢前者。究竟使用那一种可以根据自己的意愿来选择。

Abstract

There has been much debate over the pronunciation of 'Linux', with three major alternatives emerging.

/liːnuːks/ ('leenooks')
    This is Linus Torvalds' original pronunciation, based on the pronunciation of his name in Swedish. It's rarely used by those who speak English as a first language, as it doesn't seem very 'natural' to them.
/lɪnʌks/ ('linnuks')
    This is now Linus Torvalds' preferred pronunciation, as he considers /ɪ/ closer to the original /iː/ than /aɪ/. It also follows the pronunciation of the English word 'linen'.
/laɪnʌks/ ('lynuks')
    The other major alternative is based on the pronunciation of the English version of 'Linus'. It also happens to be the version I use.
