When open the program KPPP,and fill up the ID and password,then I press Link...

but there comes a small window,saying:

kppp can not find:

/dev/modem

Please make sure you have setup your modem device properly and/or adjust the location of the modem device on the modem tab of the setup dialog.

When I open the directory /dev,it displays a great deal of devices,such as xdb9,xdb8,xdb7...,and on top of all these icons,there's a modem's icon with a cross on it.On double-clicking it,it says
