我是校园网的,172.16.240.1是网关,172.16.253.199是DNS,172.16.253.16是www.zjc.zjut.edu.cn的IP(学校内网的ip)

在命令行下：ifconfig
把结果贴出来
还有：vi  /etc/resolv.conf
这个结果也贴出来

resolv.conf里的是dns的ip

ping 一下 202.205.3.143
如果ping得通那就是你的DNS问题。
如下，改成你的就行了
[ybwzw@HPCL67 etc]$ cat /etc/resolv.conf

nameserver 10.10.0.21

Ping不通，应该你的网关有问题，贴/sbin/route

我说错了，你的网关应该是对的，请验证一下这台DNS是不是真的可用。
172.16.253.199

再者，你可以尝试校网上不用域名的机器（不和你在同一网段的）。

是域名服务器,在xp下能用的,
172.16.253.16是学校主页所在网站的ip,
可是http://172.16.253.16/ 在fc6下打不开
在xp下能打开

一个命令就知不知道 DNS 能不能用了。
$ nslookup www.google.com

或者
$ nslookup www.baidu.com

你的子网掩码似乎应该设成 255.255.0.0
而不是 255.255.255.0
