有人成功地以硬盘方式安装好了CentOS 5.0吗？

DVD可以安装。不要以讹传讹。

推荐放在ext3分区，用grub引导。

不知道你是如何安装成功的。

ISO我放在FAT32下，grub引导，安装进行到了编写网络配置之后就退出来了，显示挂载失败。

查了很多帖子，都说DVD硬盘安装不能成功。

所以请不要“以讹传讹”。

楼上的，我亲自实验了DVD安装，我在另外的一个帖子里面说明过，因为没有空间，所以安装只进行到分区那一步。并没有任何迹象表明不能使用DVD的ISO安装。

我是亲自实验，何来以讹传讹之说！

你的这个态度很不严谨啊，到分区没问题就肯定可以安装成功了吗？我就是硬盘安装到软件包选择以后出错，告诉我“This is a bug ...”云云，之前也是一切正常的。

我是DVD硬盘安装成功的，按着从网上搜的方法，使用UltraISO修改.discinfo为如下：

自带的源好慢，国内的那个源好像上不去，找了个快速的源升级，/etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo内容如下：

我也用这种方法硬盘安装好了。
不过CentOS/RPMS这行，我直接用 CentOS

改好了的DVD的ISO文件，不能用grub4dos安装，而要用原来安装的linux的grub引导安装。

基本上都到这一步后出错的。

还有用grub4dos，一进入图形安装界面就出错(ISO文件挂载出错)。
