说说你的北桥芯片组好吗？等我回去的时候我用via的驱动试下。等有结果的时候我在说下。不过我上网的时间不是很固定，我会努力的争取早点。

内核不同，我准备重新安装，不知道怎样做才能是那个内核！！！！
BTW:是不是我下的版本不对，我下SUSE8的时候很早，就是刚有消息的时候，在新思路(上海热线）的5CD的，不能光盘引导的那种。

我刚才也看了一下安装说明。。。声卡需要内核如下。

哦，我在VIARENA的论坛看到这个：

I'll try to contact the ALSA developers, hopefully they can make a patch on the snd-via8233 module to support the 8233A.

看来是没有希望了：
Currently the software team is working on building the 8233A audio driver for SUSE 8.0, Red Hat 7.3, and Red Flag 3.0. Apparently neither the ALSA, nor the OSS methods work for the newly updated linux OS, and the hope is rested on the VIA in-house development for the audio driver.

Not sure any of that helped, but I'll certainly keep you posted when the driver is completed. The 8233A audio is supported up to the previous linux versions, however. (SUSE 7.3, RH 7.2, etc).

就是解压缩后，进入SuSE目录。
#gunzip 74audio.sue80.gz
然后再把74audio.sue80.tar解开进行安装的吗？？？？

HOHO，很多人对VIA不满意：
'm running Gentoo Linux with a self compiled kernel (2.4.19-r5). Why don't you publish the source code of the drivers, so it works with ervery distribution? That's a lot easier for the users, and also better for the development team (one tarball is easier then kernel patches for RedHat 7.0, RedHat 7.1, RedHat 7.2, RedHat 7.3, Mandrake 8.0, Mandrake 8.1, etc, etc.)
I'm now using the trial version of OSS, that works good with my soundcard, but I don't want to pay for drivers. Please, make the drivers Open Source so everyone can use them.

我下载的驱动里也有SUSE8的。。。。不知道你下载的有没有。。。
