我的经验是 不用设置hdparm，如果内核参数选择正确的话，DMA是默认打开的。其他的几个参数，作用似乎不大。

hdparm -d1 /dev/hda 打开 DMA

老大，你用的是scsi硬盘及强劲的磁盘阵列，再者hdparm不能优化scsi硬盘，对你来说当然作用不大了，我们这些穷人的机器怎能跟你比呢？

虽然内核参数选择正确的话，DMA是默认打开的，但仍可以作少许改进，比如：

hdparm -c1 -d1 -u1 -a1024 /dev/hda

i follow you guide and the konsole just show the above information, it's that mean

Do a benchmark with [color="Blue"]hdparm -tT /dev/hda before and after the change, then you know what is the difference.

-d1 turns DMA on, but it should be enabled by default.  There are many other parameters that you may set. Use [color="Blue"]man hdparm to learn more.

i just opened three mozila and the system auto reboot !i have to chage it to winme.my machine got two system.
还有一个问题就是我的创新SB LIVE不能被驱动，装在硬盘里的KNOPPIX4。0没有发现声卡呀！
而在光盘运行的KNOPPIX4。0却能认出我的SB LIVE。这是为什么？怎么解决？
