Opera最简单的方法就是在~/.opera/opera6.ini里面的[user prefs]后面加上

Enable Core X Fonts=0
Enable Xft Fonts=1

这个论坛里已经说了无数遍了。

这个方法实在是太简单了，在opera:config中就可以改，不过仅用这不能完全解决问题，需要禁用掉点阵字体才好（或者删掉song ti等中文点阵字体），所以最好还是参照我在前面提到的那篇笔记设置。

Over time, they are going to have to add many of the same warts to KHTML as we have to our layout engine. They might be able to do so in a more clean way, but they will still be there.

Second, Mozilla’s layout engine does so much more than what KHTML is trying to do. We’re rendering our entire application with it so of course it’s going to be bigger. Can we do better with our layout engine in the future? Yep. Will we? Yes, I think that we will. There’s lots of interest in cleaning up the mess of layout.

在我显卡没开 3D 加速的时候，就是这样的。。尤其在看小说的时候。。。

感觉是字体绘画速度不够快，X 的问题。

xp系统没装显卡驱动的时候你知道是什么样的吗? 比linux用vesa驱动慢的多。。

不用，设置了这个就是不让Opera用X核心点阵字体，而只用Xft字体，所以文泉驿的字阵应该是没问题的。当然这是不能完全解决问题的，因为Opera字体替换机制有问题，它不会按fonts.conf或local.conf里面的顺序替换字体，而是用字典序，关于这个Opera官主论坛讨论的比较深了。但是这样设置了以后绝对不会出现有的字体大有的字体小的问题。

这个，我还真没机会测试这个。。。呵呵：）。。
我的 Xorg 使用 nv 驱动的，不是vesa。虽然应该也差不多了。

我的亲身经历就是在禁用点阵字以前，较大的汉字都会重叠，禁用掉以后，立刻正常。
中文区的那篇帖子还是我亲自验证以后丢到精华区的。

对呀，所以加上那两句就没有中文字体的问题了。

就用opera firefox明显速度比不上opera 而且我觉得opera对中文支持越来越好了

我的心得是

字体要尽量安装少些 我只安装了simsun 和 雅黑

opera的字体渲染非常不一样 系统中最先安装的字体 会用来显示

改什么文件的什么顺序 我感觉没有什么用

反正我的opera显示字体非常好

觉得不比firefox差

用firefox明显系统慢了 不然用点资源没有关系 就用firefox了
