i have devboard of godson, and some other motherboards. I'm first time to gentoo, now i'm installing gentoo on vmware. After I finished, I'll try it on godson.

But there are some problems compile on godson:
1. The bootloader is in PROM, support only  load vmlinux on hda1, cannot boot from cdrom, So I can only install it from harddisk.
2. there are some diff between godson and standard mips32,(miss some instruction). So the toolchain is different from stanard gcc, I have not the patch, so build gcc-3.2.3 maybe failure.
3. the speed is too slow, ......, shall we setup a cross compile environment for gentoo?

godson能运行linux吧。。。。可内核能运行吗。。。有godson资料吗？

我这里有4种不同的龙芯主版，都可以顺利的运行linux，内核和toolchain是针对龙芯的，不过我自己编译过mips的toolchain上编译的hello world也可以在龙芯上跑起来。
说老实话，我们公司是生产基于龙芯的产品的，但是具体的资料我们也不是很多，现有的也是受nda保护的。
